Admission criteria for SSC MTS 2024
Before you think of registering for the exam, you must be aware of the eligibility criteria for the exam. The eligibility criteria is mandatory to maintain the level of the candidates and their knowledge and skills. The candidate must fulfill the following requirements to register for the exam. The candidate must be a citizen of India. Selection will be made on the basis of merit and outstanding performance of the candidate.
Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India or may belong to Bhutan or Nepal.
SSC MTS Educational Qualification :
The eligibility criteria for educational qualification is such that the candidates applying for the examination have the same level of education and knowledge. The candidates who wish to fill SSC MTS application form 204 must have completed 10th class or should have an equivalent qualification from a recognized school.
SSC MTS Age Limit :
As mentioned earlier, the eligibility criteria will be maintained to keep all the candidates at the same level and the same applies to the age limit to avoid extreme age gap between them. The age limit for MTS posts is between 18 and 25 years and that for Havaldar posts between 18 and 27 years.
For reserved category candidates, the following age relaxations in SSC MTS eligibility criteria are applicable:
- SC / ST – 5 years
- OBC – 5 years
- PwD (Unreserved)- 10 years
- People with disabilities (OBC) – 13 years
- People with disabilities (SC / ST)- 15 years
- Ex-Serviceman – 03 years after deducting the military service rendered from the actual age as on the closing date of receipt of online application.

SSC MTS Fees for the application
The online application fee for SSC MTS recruitment is Rs. 100/-. However, women and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD and ESM categories are exempted from paying the fee. The payment can be made online or through SBI Challan.
Selection Process for SSC MTS & Havaldar
SSC has revised the selection process for the posts of Multi Tasking Staff and Havaldar. The recruitment process for SSC MTS 2024 includes a computer based test with two sessions for both Multi Tasking and Havaldar posts. Candidates applying for the Havaldar post will also be required to complete a Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

The SSC MTS 2024 admit card is published on the regional websites of the Staff Selection Commission. The SSC MTS 2024 admit card will be available four days before the candidate’s exam date.
