Education Qualifications Required
Candidates must meet the following qualifications in their education that are based on the job they’re applying for
- Freshers Category :
- Welder, Fitter (Gas and Electric) passed 10th class with at least 50% marks aggregated using the system of 10+2.
- Medical Laboratory Technician (Radiology, Pathology, Cardiology): Passed 12th grade by completing Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
- Ex-ITI Category :
- Various trades like Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Electrician, etc. : Passed 10th class with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks under the 10+2 system and passed ITI course in the relevant trade in a Government-recognized ITI.
Age Limit for Applying for Apprenticeship

Recruitment Process for Apprentices at Southern Railway
The process of securing RRC Southern Railway Apprentices includes the following steps:
- Merit List Based on the marks earned by applicants in Matriculation and ITI with the same weightage for both.
- Checking Documents Candidates who are shortlisted will be contacted for verification of documents.
- Medical Examination: Candidates will need to produce a medical certificate signed by a government-authorized doctor.
