Eligibility Criteria
To be considered eligible to be considered for an interview for the PSPCL Assistant Engineer/OT (Electrical) job, candidates have to meet these qualifications:
GATE-2024 score Candidates must have a valid GATE-2024 score for Mechanical Engineering with the minimum required scores as stated below:
- General: 28.60
- EWS: 25.70
- SC/ST/PWD: 19.00
Education Qualification Candidates must have at least a full-time, regular BE/B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum five percent marks, or an a comparable degree that is recognized by AICTE. Candidates who have evidence of an AMIE qualification from the field of mechanical Engineering with 55 percent scores from the Institution of Engineers (India) Kolkata are also qualified. Candidates must also have completed Punjabi at a minimum the level of matriculation or the equivalent.
Age Limit Candidates must not be less than 18 or over 37 years old on 01/01/2024. The relaxation of the maximum age can be granted in accordance with Punjab Government rules:
- SC as well as Backward Class 5 years
- Ex-Servicemen: Deduction of Service period starting at the age of 3 years and over.
- Physically Handicapped: 10 Years
- Some categories of women Up to 40 years of age
