NCERT Recruitment 2024 National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has announced the openings for a variety of academic positions, including Professors, Associate professors and Assistant Professors. This open recruitment campaign is to fill 123 positions within NCERT and its affiliated units located in New Delhi, Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysuru and Shillong.
Application online started on the 27th of July, 2024 and will run through 16 August 2024. This job seeks to recruit experienced educators to NCERT the apex organisation to conduct research in education as well as teacher training as well as curriculum and instructional material development for the field of school education.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- To be considered for the position of Professor applicants must hold at least a Ph.D. or equivalent in the relevant or related field and at least the equivalent of 10 years teaching or comparable research experience. They should also possess a minimum of 10 research publications published in peer-reviewed journals.
- for Associate Professors who have an Ph.D. on the area of study and a minimum of eight years of research or teaching experience are necessary. Candidates should also have at least 7 publication in peer-reviewed journal.
- Associate Professors should hold an MA degree that has at minimum 55% marks and have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET). The NET is a requirement for obtaining a Ph.D. or a Ph.D. in the subject of study can exclude applicants from the NET.
Age Limit
The minimum age for these posts differs according to NCERT guidelines and UGC guidelines. Specific age requirements are provided in the official announcement.
Application Fee Information
The fee for application is for General, OBC, and EWS category candidates is Rs.1000$. However, SC/ST/PWD as well as Women candidates are not required to pay fees for application. The fee is to be paid via online mode only, and is not refundable.
Selection Process
The process of selection includes screening of applicants and an interview. Only those who have been shortlisted, according to their academic achievements and research papers are selected to an interview. The final decision is based on the candidate’s performance.
