Post Office GDS Salary – Pay, Perks & Allowances
Branch Postmasters who are responsible for deliveries or mail conveyance as well as both tasks, combined Duty Allowance (CDA) of 500 Rs per month per task is provided. But, if there is a requirement that the Branch Postmaster only executes deliveries within the BO village’s jurisdiction, this allowance is restricted to 250 per month. A compensation of Rs 250 per month is also available in lieu of compensation to Branch Postmasters who manage mail exchanges at bus stops or railway stations.
A sum of 100 Rs is payable each month as an Office Maintenance Allowance.
A monthly fee of Rs 25 as Fixed Stationery Allowance for Sub Postmaster and Branch Postmaster positions is due. Similar charges are charged at Rs 10 for all other posts that are involved in the delivery of mail tasks.
The Boat Allowance will cover the cost for boat-related services, and is capped at Rs. 50 per month.
An CCA (Cash Conveyance Allowance) of 50 rupees is due monthly.
For GDS who use their own bikes for duty the Cycle Maintenance Allowance (CMA) of 60 rupees is paid monthly.
