National Tribal Fellowship for Higher Education 2024 The NFST Fellowship that is funded through the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, is designed to help exceptional Scheduled Tribe students pursuing advanced studies in the nation. The program is split into two distinct projects the National Fellowship Scheme aims to aid in the study of M.Phil and Ph.D. for those who have completed their master’s degree. The National Scholarship Scheme targets those who are looking to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate courses at elite educational institutions with a wide range of professional fields, including but not restricted to Management and Medicine, Engineering, IT, and law. These two programs currently work in conjunction as part of a coordinated program.

Eligibility for National Fellowship for ST Students
M.Phil or Ph.D level Candidates need to have successfully completed postgraduate study and be enrolled at a university within the specific category. They must be able to achieve a minimum of 55% on their final exam or grading at the postgraduate degree.
Graduation and PG levels: ST students who are able to get admission after 10+2 or Graduation into the reputable institutions and programs approved by the Ministry can be eligible for the financial aid offered under this program.
National Tribal Fellowship Scheme Amount
The person who is awarded the scholarship will be awarded an amount of money as described on the following table, conditioned upon meeting the requirements set forth for the scholarship program. Rent Allowance for Housing Rent Allowance (HRA) in all of the programs (every month) is in line with the rates established by UGC (8 percent 16%, 16% or 24%, based of the town). Escort Allowances for people with disabilities (monthly) is 2000 rupees (in accordance with UGC guidelines). These rates are in line with the standards set by UGC and can be modified in the event of any revisions issued by the UGC.

Documents Required for National Tribal Fellowship
In order to complete the application process to be considered for the NFST Scholarships applicants need to provide all the necessary documents through the portal for registration:
- Most recent passport-sized photo
- The certificate for ST/PVTG is validated by the authority in charge
- The certificate from 10th Grade/Matriculation or a similar document to prove birth date
- Status certificate for Divyangjan from the authority that is recognized
- Mark sheet for Post-Graduation [Cumulative marks expressed in percentor equivalent percentage for CGPA holders
- Certificate of admission/joining for M.Phil/Ph.D/Integrated M.Phil+Ph.D programs from the respective University.
- Offers of admission for applicants who are accepted to institutes like IITs AIIMS, IIMs, and IISERs.
