Selection Process for SSC Stenographer Recruitment
The selection procedure consists of a computer-based test followed by a shorthand test. Candidates must pass the computer-based test, with minimum scores set for the various categories. Applicants are shortlisted for the skills test on the basis of the scores achieved in the computer-based test. The skills test is compulsory, but has a qualifying character.
The final selection and allocation of ministries/departments is based on the applicants’ performance in the computer-based test and their preferences for positions/departments expressed during the application process.
