With the release of Advertisement No. 11/2023, the commission announced various vacancies to be filled through the Miscellaneous Services Recruitment Examination. Various posts, including Assistant Child Development Project Officer, Disaster Management Officer/ Block Disaster Management Officer, Block Youth Officer, and various other posts, will be filled through this recruitment drive.
WBPSC Vacancies Selection Process
The deserving candidates will be selected based on their performance in the following phases.
- Preliminary Examination
- Main Exam
- Personality Test
- Final Merit List
The Preliminary Examination is going to be conducted soon. It is only qualifying in nature. The candidates qualifying for the prelims will be eligible for the Mains Exam. The marks scored by the candidate in the Prelims will not be counted for the final merit list.
West Bengal MSRE Exam Schedule

MSRE Prelims Paper Pattern & Exam Scheme
- The Preliminary Examination will be a screening test to select candidates for admission to the Final Examination.
- The Prelims will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions overall.
- Each question will carry 2 marks.
- The duration of the exam will be 90 Minutes.

Note: Final Merit List will be prepared out of 550 marks. Out of these total marks, the main examination will include 450 marks and the personality test will carry 100 marks.

The applicants are advised to download the WBPSC MSRE Admit Cards well in advance before the examination date once released by the examination authorities. Applicants must check all the details to be printed on these call letters. The candidates should verify the details about name, roll number, date of birth, signature & passport-size photograph, date and timing of examination, examination venue, and instructions.
While going to the examination hall, each applicant must take a printout of this admit card, original identity proof, and recent passport-size photographs. Without these essentials, applicants cannot enter the examination hall and appear for the exam.
