Qualifications for RRB Group D positions
To apply for RRB Group D positions, applicants must either:
Completion of 10th class (SSLC/Matriculation) from a recognized school, or
Possess an ITI certificate recognized by NCVT/SCVT or its equivalent.
Age Limit for RRB Group D
The age limit for candidates applying for RRB Group D is between 18 to 33 years. However, there are age relaxations for reserved group candidates as prescribed by the government:
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – Applicants are given a relaxation of 3 years, making the upper age limit 36 years.
SC/ST – Candidates will be given a relaxation of 5 years, taking the upper age limit to 38 years.

Application fee
General/OBC Applicants: The application fee for General and OBC category candidates is ₹500. An amount of ₹400 of this fee will be refunded after the candidate has taken the Computer Based Test (CBT).
For SC, ST, EWS, Women, Ex-Servicemen and PwBD applicants – the application fee is reduced to Rs. 250. This fee is also refundable and the entire amount of Rs. 250 will be refunded after the applicant has taken the CBT.
Selection Process
The selection process for RRB Group D Recruitment 2024 is designed to assess the eligibility of candidates for the various Group D positions in Indian Railways. Computer Based Test (CBT)
The first stage of the selection process is a computer-based test (CBT), which is an objective test.

Physical Performance Test (PET)
Applicants who qualify in the CBT will be invited to take the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
Document review
Successful applicants in the PET are then invited to a document check. Applicants must submit the original documents, e.g. proof of education, proof of age, career certificates, etc., for verification.
Medical examination
After the documents have been checked, applicants will undergo a medical examination. The medical requirements vary depending on the position. Applicants must meet the medical requirements to ensure that they are physically and medically able to perform the duties associated with the position.
