Application Procedure for the GIA

- Visit your local South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) office nearest to your residence. Bring your SASSA ID card.
- Complete the application while in presence of the SASSA official. Only you or an SASSA official is authorized to sign the application form. The officer will then interview you to determine whether you are eligible to receive the grant.
